  Cibiriv Tablet is a medicament used in the therapeutics of Irritable bowel syndrome, Enterocolitis (Inflammation of the digestive tract), diverticulitis (Inflammation in the diverticulum) and other symptoms related to intestinal infection, associated with Stress and Anxiety.

Irritable bowel syndrome is a functional gastrointestinal (GI) disorder i.e., even though the gut looks normal, the functions of the digestive tract isn’t the same. These conditions are also called as the disorders of the brain-gut interaction and have to do with problems in their comprehensive working.

A chronic condition of the bowel (gut) that causes occurrences of abdominal cramps, bloating and discomfort with bowel habits i.e., either going more (diarrhoea) or less (constipation) often than normal, also, there might be a feeling of incomplete evacuation (a suspicion that the bowel is not fully emptied, post defecation).

DIRECTION FOR USAGE

Cibiriv Tablets should be taken, based on the dosage and duration prescribed by the doctor, preferably before meals. Swallow the tab as a whole with a glass of water. Kindly, refrain from crushing and chewing the tablet.

SIDE EFFECTS

Consumption of Cibiriv Tablets may cause certain after effects in some cases such as nausea, sleepiness, dizziness, blurred vision, dryness in mouth, constipation, weakness, nervousness etc temporarily, it normally fades away gradually without the need for medical attention, however, in rare cases, if the symptoms persist or worsens over time, notify the doctor without further delay.

 SAFETY, INTERACTION and PRECAUTIONS

Cibiriv Tablets should not be taken in case one is allergic to the contents of the tablet. Also, be cautious and inform the doctor about any other medicinal allergies and concurrent intake of medicines (Prescribed, Non-Prescribed and other health supplements etc) for any Liver, Kidney or other Comorbidities prior to using the same.

 Cibiriv Tablets are not recommended during pregnancy unless prescribed by the doctor, as it may cause congenital disabilities (birth defects) or while breastfeeding. Refrain from consumption in additional and longer than the prescribed dosage and duration to minimise habit formation and also avoid stopping the tablets on your own because, it might cause withdrawal symptoms.

 Cibiriv Tablets may blur vision or cause drowsiness, therefore, desist from driving and drinking while taking the tablet.

STORAGE

Cibiriv tablets must be stored in a cool and dry place, protected from moisture and sunlight, away from reach of children and pets.

MODE OF ACTION

Cibiriv tablet offers a combination of Clidinium Bromide, Chlordiazepoxide and Dicyclomine.

• Clidinium and Dicyclomine belong to a class of drug known as Anticholinergics, also called antispasmodics they work by decreasing stomach acid, slowing and relaxing the stomach and gut (intestine) muscles, thereby, reducing muscle contractions (spasms), relieving abdominal cramps, bloating and discomfort.

• Chlordiazepoxide belong to a class of drug known as Benzodiazepine, works by increasing the action of GABA, a chemical messenger which suppresses the abnormal and excessive activity of the nerve cells in the brain.
