Our founder N. S. Jayakrishnan has his heart in the right place. During his illustrious career spanning three decades in the pharmaceutical sector, he met people from all walks of life, of all age brackets, and what was common in them- ill-health and diseases. Many of them suffered from acute illness and surprisingly not all were age-related.
Good health is the ultimate wealth one can possess. Without good health, can one enjoy the simplest pleasures in life? The answer is a resounding no. Then why are we not mindful of our health? Despite India being the “pharmacy of the world”, the pharmaceutical market is overflowing with spurious drugs.

We realized that there is a buzzing market teeming with pharmaceutical companies and so there was no dearth of medical supplies or services. But what he intended to start was a pharmaceutical company but with a difference. Shirr Pharmaceuticals was founded to provide quality medicines to every individual in the marginalized community at very affordable prices. Why should your health be dependent on your spending power?
Shirr has kept its promise. It was a company that made its baby steps in a thriving market with just a handful of products in 2007 and today, is providing over 50 products in varied segments. The fact that our sales and market coverage have burgeoned exponentially over the years is testimony that our products have been well-received by the patients.
